Southbound Interstate 25 was closed Saturday afternoon for about 4 hours seven miles north of Harmony Road after a multi-vehicle pileup.
The Colorado State Patrol told 7News two people — one of them a child — were critically injured. There were several other injuries.
Southbound I-25 reopened a little before 5 p.m..
At least six vehicles — possibly eight — were involved.
The Colorado State Patrol advised drivers to take alternate routes.
Northbound I-25 was closed briefly after the accident happened, shortly before 1 p.m., but has reopened.
A helicopter was called, but all patients were transported to hospitals by ambulance.
