If you live in Colorado, or the surrounding Rocky Mountain region, it’s pretty much obligatory to have an unfailing, cult-like devotion to the Denver Broncos. This goes for musicians, too. Local artists have a long tradition of supporting our football team in musical form. The latest comes from rock duo , who have shared their reworked version of “Ride” with Reverb.
Called “(Mile High) Ride,” this version of the track serves as what the band calls a “pump up song for game day.”
“Number 18 with the forward pass. You other teams better watch your ass,” In The Whale cheers over this crunchy, energetic rocker.
You’d better have this song and those words on repeat between the Broncos’ 17-42 win over San Francisco on Sunday and the upcoming Thursday game against the Chargers.
Meanwhile, the band will continue its tradition of not wearing pants to support the team during games — even on stage while touring with Guttermouth. They call the tradition #NOPANTSWIN.
In The Whale is prepping the release of a new EP in spring of 2015.
