1 Serial splattering. Police were called to the 24100 block of E. Second Drive on Oct. 20 because someone went through the neighborhood and shot several homes and cars with a paintball gun.

2 More afraid of debt. A woman who was on her way to pay her energy bill was robbed by two men at a bus stop Oct. 14. The victim got off the bus at the intersection of East Colfax Avenue and North Havana Street when the suspects pushed her from behind and took $60 from a payment envelope that she was about to mail. She didn’t want to go to the hospital, but she asked officers if they would talk to the bill collectors and get her an extension on her payment.

3 Smash and yank. A stereo was stolen from a woman’s car while it was parked in front of her home in the 16800 block of East Idaho Circle on Oct. 21. Police noted that the passenger window was broken and the stereo was ripped out of the dashboard.

4 Red flags. A suspicious money order for $700 came in the mail to a man who lives in the 3500 block of South Quintero Street on Oct. 23. Instructions said to deposit $200 and send the rest to an address in the Philippines. The man called police.

5 Garage burglars. Police were called to the 3800 block of South Uravan Street because a man’s bike was stolen from his open garage while he was airing out paint fumes Oct. 19.

6 Forgot to lock up. A man who lives in the 1700 block of North Granby Court called police because his car was stolen from his driveway Oct. 23. The victim told police he left the car unlocked by accident.
