1 Unauthorized Halloween party. A woman who bought a new home in the 19700 block of East Oxford Drive called police Nov. 1 because people had broken into the empty house and thrown a party the night before. The victim found glow sticks, candy wrappers and empty liquor bottles in every room, and her new neighbor said she saw three carfuls of people outside.
2 Hard to determine damage. Police responded to the 200 block of North Idalia Court because someone tried to break down a woman’s front door Nov. 1. Nothing appeared to be missing, but the inside of the home was too messy for officers to fully investigate.
3 Baby shopping. An employee of the Safeway at 22675 E. Aurora Parkway called police after two women loaded up a cart with infant care products and left the store Oct. 30. The employee tried to stop them, but they drove away.
4 Welcome home. After returning from a weeklong vacation Nov. 1, a woman who lives in the 6700 block of South Tempe Court noticed that someone smashed in the rear window of her car. Nothing was missing.
5 Boot thief. A pair of boots that were mailed to a home in the 900 block of North Macon Street was stolen from the front porch Oct. 28. The residents had security footage of all around the home, and the tapes showed a teenage boy taking the package.
6 Bad service. A man’s radio was stolen from his car while mechanics from the Pep Boys at 12820 E. Mississippi Ave. were working on it Oct. 31. The car was left outside overnight, and none of the workers remember if they saw the radio.
