The search at Longs Peak for a Broomfield hiker who went missing over the weekend will resume Thursday, after a 32-person rescue team came up empty for the third straight day.

The hiker, Peter Jeffris, 25, reportedly left Sunday to summit Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, then did not arrive at work Monday. His car was later found in the Longs Peak Trailhead parking lot.

A rescue team set out Monday, Tuesday and again Wednesday.

Rocky Mountain National Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson said that, while no significant leads arose from the search Wednesday, rescuers were able to rule out large portions of the park.
