today-May 3. People, animals, spices, textiles and more traveled the 5,700-mile Silk Road from China to the Roman Empire, but the ideas they brought had just as much of an impact on global culture. The Denver Museum of Nature & Science will bring this fascinating cultural and political route to life starting Nov. 21 with the new exhibit “Traveling the Silk Road,” which features (among other things), a 41-foot-long replica of an Arabian sailing ship, interactive digital maps, live silkworms, historical re-enactors and a full-scale re-creation of a Chinese night market. Open daily 9 a.m.-5 p.m. through May 3 at 2001 Colorado Blvd. Non-member tickets are $14.95-$22.95, which includes regular museum admission. Free for kids under 3. 303-370-6000 or . John Wenzel
