A person was struck and seriously injured Saturday afternoon while trying to cross the 8600 block of East Alameda Avenue, authorities say.
The person was taken to the hospital, according to a Denver police Tweet just before 1 p.m.
The eastbound lanes of Alameda Avenue are closed.
