Saturday. A bright, multihued wave of seasonal cheer will spread through downtown on Nov. 28 as the annual Grand Illumination ceremonies spark hundreds of thousands of lights into action. The D&F Tower and other Denver landmarks will offer different ways to get into the holiday spirit, including ice skating at Skyline Park, a light display set to live music at the City & County Building, live music and a tree-lighting ceremony at Union Station and more. In addition to the lights, visitors can sing along with the Jingle Singers as they play five of the festively painted pianos along the 16th Street Mall as part of the Your Keys to the City program. 6 p.m. Nov. 28, various locations in downtown Denver. Free. Visit for details. John Wenzel
