Denver police investigate the scene where four Denver police officers on bicycles were hit and injured by a vehicle on Wednesday. (Andy Cross, The Denver Post)
Re: “,” Dec. 3 news story.
East High School’s principal placed a letter regarding the protest march and the injuries suffered by the police officers on the school’s website (east.dpsk12.org). Here are a few additional topics that should have been addressed:
Have the student protesters learned that what may have seemed like a good idea at the time can lead to tragedy? Is there something that the protesters can do to help the critically injured police officer? Since the protesters have not yet learned to properly evaluate current events (the physical evidence matched the testimony that supported the actions of the Ferguson police officer), is there something the school can do to help the protesters make better evaluations in the future?
