Colorado Democratic Party chairman Rick Palacio has been appointed to the Democratic Victory Task Force and will help Democrats across the country try to bounce back from the midterm losses the party incurred last month.

“I look forward to continuing the analysis of the 2014 election results nationwide,” Palacio said. “The Colorado Democratic Party has already reached out to Democrats around the state to gather key perspectives on how our elections were run. There’s no better way to shore up the process than engaging with our grassroots Democrats.”

Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, announced the appointments Friday to the Democratic Victory Task Force. Other appointees include Naomi Aberly, a Planned Parenthood board member and vice chairwoman of the DNC’s finance committee; Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear; party strategist Donna Brazile; strategist and former DNC spokeswoman Maria Cardona; Democratic election lawyer Marc Elias; digital strategist Teddy Goff, who ran President Barack Obama’s online campaign; marketing expert Maneesh Goyal; AFL-CIO leader Lee Saunders; and Google chairman Eric Schmidt.

“Conducting an autopsy on the failures with the Democrat Party’s infrastructure and get-out-the-vote won’t fix the real problems plaguing the liberal party,” state Republican Party chairman Ryan Call said of the announcement. “Voters are fed up with arrogant Democrat elected officials that refuse to listen the needs and priorities of working Coloradans.”
