Dec. 6: The community pet center in Aurora has partnered with the Denver Holistic Center and Pets for People for a low-cost vet exam/vaccine clinic, 10:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Rabies vaccines (one-year and three-year), bordetella vaccine (kennel cough), wormer (hookworm and roundworm), giardia vaccine and puppy combination vaccines are all $10 each. Through Jan. 4: The Denver institution continues its annual “Paws to Give” drive at its three locations including the Quebec Street shelter (2080 S. Quebec St.), the Buddy Center (4556 Castleton Court in Castle Rock) and the Harmony Equine Center (5540 Colorado 86 in Franktown). Visit one of the centers and fill out a “paw” decoration with a message and the amount of your donation to be displayed on a special wall. Donations of supplies are also welcome; visit for the “wish list.”
