
Handmade haven
Head to the Denver Art Society, 734 Santa Fe Drive, for the two-day Handmade Homemade Holiday Market, 1 to 7 p.m. Dec. 13-14. HaHo is a local “community of crafters, makers and bakers” with more than 60 vendors alongside live music from DJ Cavem and Jacob Russo and food buffets. There’s also a clothing swap — guests are invited to bring gently used clothes to trade. Admission is a suggested donation of $2-$5.
A fun fundraiser
TJ’s ArtFest, now in its 26th year, is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 13. Promising to be more “vibrant and festive,” the annual high school fundraiser offers holiday items and gifts from more than 75 vendors along with items from talented Thomas Jefferson High School students. Children’s activities, a used book sale, door prizes, a photo booth and refreshments round out the offerings. 3950 S. Holly St., 720-323-7512
Santa on ice
Santa trades his shiny black boots for ice skates at a handful of “Skate with Santa” sessions presented by South Suburban Parks and Recreation Dec. 13-14. Show Santa your figure 8 or triple axel at South Suburban Ice Arena (6580 S. Vine St. in Centennial) from 2:15 to 3 p.m. Dec. 13. He will also be at Family Sports Ice Arena (6901 S. Peoria St. in Centennial) from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Dec. 13 and 2:15 to 3 p.m. Dec. 14. Admission is $7.75, $5.75 for residents. Skate rentals are $3.50, $2.50 for residents.
