Oakwood Homes is staging an open house today for three family-sized model homes, still around a month from being totally trimmed out — but ones that have already lured no less than 46 families to buy into Tollgate Crossing, north of the Southlands Shopping Center, without having seen near as much as you will today. And Cherry Creek Schools are a big reason why.

“They’re hands-down the lowest priced new homes with Cherry Creek Schools,” says Oakwood’s Allyson Greenberg, who will show you these roomy Ranch House series models from the low $300’s. You’ll tour the 4-bedroom Evergreen model, the first of its kind modeled anywhere by Oakwood — around 3,200 square feet of finished space, including main-level study and dining room, from $350,500, under $110/square foot. And if you choose to have Oakwood finish the basement as part of the package, you could get the cost-per-foot way below that.

Meanwhile, Greenberg will tell you about a new, limited series of Park House homes that Oakwood is planning to introduce to the area soon – a little smaller sized, for just 30 available home sites, but at prices from as low has the high $200s.

“The Park House Collection is bound to be really hot,” says Greenberg. “I think we’ll sell out of them this spring.” Just as with the models you’ll tour today, the new series will include a ranch plan. If you like their looks, Greenberg can put you on a VIP list for a first shot at the release.

Whichever collection appeals to you, you can also see Cherry Creek’s Buffalo Trail Elementary School a few blocks away – one that even out-of-state buyers have already researched when they arrive here. You’ll also pass by Southlands with its popular dining, and see how well this works as a commuter location – VERY easy access onto E470 for heading south into Meridian or the Tech Center, or north to DIA, just 18 minutes to the terminal. “We’re seeing lots of people who travel for business,” Greenberg notes. “They want access to shopping and dining, but also need to get to the airport.”

What you won’t see are lots of homes that you can move into right away – selling way too fast for that. (Greenberg can show you a ranch plan that can deliver soon: a Riviera with four bedrooms, around 3,710 feet of finished space, including two guest bedrooms in a ‘Smart Space’ included upstairs, and a finished entertainment center in the garden-level basement.)

It and other homes in both collections will come with Oakwood’s top-rated energy features – so reliable that Oakwood will guarantee your bills for the first two years of ownership. For today’s open house, take Smoky Hill Road east from E-470 to Aurora Parkway, turn north 2.5 miles (becomes Gun Club) to Chenango; or exit 470 at Quincy, turn east to Gun Club, then south. You can also see finished models of this same collection at Oakwood’s Green Valley Ranch, a mile east of Peña Boulevard on Green Valley Ranch Boulevard to Walden Street.
