Stan Kroenke — the owner of the St. Louis Rams, as well as the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche and Colorado Rapids — announced on Monday in nearby Inglewood, Calif., setting up a potential battle with fellow Colorado billionaire Philip Anschutz over bringing an NFL team in Los Angeles.

Anschutz’s Anschutz Entertainment Group for years has floated plans for a massive expansion to its L.A. Live complex next to Staples Center downtown. The $1.5 billion project would include Farmer’s Field to house an NFL team and a convention center.

So who will win this battle, if it comes to that? Woody is betting on Anschutz, and on Tuesday’s episode of The Sports Show, he explained why.
