1 Armed road rage. A woman who was cut off by another driver on South De Gaulle Street and East Alexander Drive called police Dec. 31 because the other driver pointed a gun at her. The woman flipped the suspect off, and the driver pulled his car over and pointed a black handgun at her. She ducked down and called police, but the driver sped off.
2 Too proud to pay. A Yellow Cab driver pressed charges against a man who couldn’t pay his fare Dec. 24. The suspect took the cab to the grocery store and then back to his home in the 11200 block of East Mississippi Avenue and told the driver he couldn’t pay. Several other residents of the building offered to cover the cost, but the man refused, so he was ticketed.
3 Pretend it never happened. A man who was assaulted and robbed while leaving work at Tacos Junior at 11505 E. Colfax Ave. told police he didn’t want to file a report. The man was jumped and beaten, and his wallet and cell phone were taken Dec. 29, but he said he just wanted to go home.
4 Empty threats. Police arrested a man for threatening his wife with an air-soft rifle during a fight in the 2200 block of Dayton Street Dec. 31.
5 Swiped from the porch. An Amazon package containing a $5 oil filter was stolen from a man’s doorstep in the 17000 block of East Wyoming Drive Dec. 26. The victim saw three teenagers take the package.
6 Tarred. Someone threw a thick black substance on the windshield, headlights and hood of a woman’s car while it was parked in front of her home in the 1500 block of Nome Street on Dec. 29.
