a fatal shooting that happened late Friday night in the Stetson Hills neighborhood.
The name of the shooting victim has not been released.
Police were called at 10:48 p.m. to the 4300 block of Northridge Place after witnesses heard a gunshot.
When they arrived they found a body inside a home.
Detectives from the ‘s Violent Crimes Unit are in the early stages of the investigation.
“There is no threat to the community as a result of this incident,” Sgt. Joel B. Kern, Colorado Springs police spokesman wrote in a news release early Saturday.
