A man shot dead late Friday in northeast Colorado Springs was killed by his landlord after an argument, the men’s roommates said Saturday.
Residents of the home on the 4300 block of Northridge Place said John Lorenz, who owns the house, shot their roommate in the abdomen.
Lorenz was booked into the El Paso County jail at 4:30 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of first-degree murder, said Jacqueline Kirby, spokeswoman for the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
His housemates said he was in his late 30s and had three children.
