Colorado State announced that Rams linebacker Aaron Davis has become the fifth CSU departing senior to earn an invitation to the 2015 NFL Combine.
CSU players previously receiving invitations were quarterback Garrett Grayson, running back Dee Hart, kicker Jared Roberts and offensive lineman Ty Sambrailo.
The Rams had not received as many as five combine invitations since 1999. That’s when seven CSU players were invited to the combine, led by future all-pro linebacker Joey Porter.
Davis led CSU with 118 tackles in 2014. He told the school’s website: “As a kid you watch these things on TV and itap almost surreal that I have the opportunity to be invited to it. I’m excited to compete against the best in the country and represent Colorado State.”
