Many children fear a visit to the dentist, but it’s even worse they have a toothache or other dental issue. On Feb. 6, dentists across Colorado will participate in Give Kids a Smile Day by, offering free dental services to children 17 years and younger from families with no insurance who can’t afford such care. It isn’t just about getting a cleaning, but also helping kids with toothaches or other painful problems. Services can include exams, x-rays, fluoride treatments, restorative and emergency treatment. Appointments must be made in advance. The largest program is at CU School of Dental Medicine at 13065 E. 17th Ave. in Aurora. (For an appointment there, call 303-724-2273.)
