Getting your player ready...

With Valentine’s Day just past, it’s fitting to think about training for a career you’ll absolutely fall in love with: a profession that allows you to work with people, make a difference each day, and utilize your skill-sets in the exciting field of healthcare!

You can do just that here.

With a Medical Assisting Degree from nearby IBMC College, you can be trained and ready to work in as little as 15-19 months as a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant, upon successful completion of the prescribed coursework and exams.

How, you may ask?

In the Medical Assisting program, you will learn the procedures for working in the front and back offices, so that you are able to provide quality patient care and handle medical records. While computer work and in-class lectures are components of the coursework, you gain additional experience through more hands-on training techniques performing injections, suture removals, blood draws, phlebotomy, taking vital signs and casting on fellow classmates.

In the last five weeks of the program, you will take what you have learned and put it to practice in an externship at medical-related practice; may that be at the local hospital, physician’s office or nursing facility.

Who needs Cupid? Now you can fall head over heels this February, and start training for a new career as a
medical assistant!
