turned bad news into good news for a packed house at the on Thursday. Following the cancellation of openers Hanni El Khatib, the band took full advantage of the night by performing their first ever two-set show.

Dr. Dog began the first set with “Ain’t It Strange,” with guitarist Scott McMicken taking the lead vocals. The band switched between McMicken, bassist Toby Leaman and rhythm guitarist Frank McElroy on vocals throughout the night. Mixing jam music, ’60s-influenced rock and a mesh of textures, the band was able to deliver and keep the audience captivated over two sets. Dr. Dog continues their US tour with stops in Austin and Chicago, before providing opening support for Dispatch at famed Madison Square Garden in July.
