Lakewood-based Einstein Noah Restaurant Group on Monday said it will shutter 39 underperforming stores on Tuesday.
The closing stores are primarily Einstein Brother’s Bagels. Two are Noah’s New York Bagels and one is a Manhattan Bagels. None of them are in Colorado.
“The company will continue to focus on its high-performing restaurants to ensure the future growth and success of the business. (Einstein Noah) values the continued support of its customers, and the dedication and hard work of all its employees,” the company said in a statement.
Einstein Noah was acquired in November by Luxembourg-based JAB Holding Co. in a deal that valued the company at about $374 million.
JAB’s portfolio includes controlling stakes in Peet’s Coffee & Tea and Caribou Coffee Co.
