A man identified as a suspect in a disturbance at an apartment complex was shot Saturday night by responding Englewood police officers and taken to Swedish Medical Center in Denver with injuries, police said.
Two officers responded to an 8:05 p.m. disturbance call at 5110 Delaware St., Sgt. Brian Cousineau said. Both fired their weapons, he said. Neither officer was hurt.
No other details about the shooting were released Saturday night.
The man who was shot was in surgery Saturday night and the full extent of his injuries was not known, Cousineau said.
The shooting is under investigation.
