Denver City Council candidate Kendra Black found a snake in her house Friday. (Facebook)
The hair on my arms stands up just thinking about it but Denver City Council candidate Kendra Black found a snake in her house Friday and it wasn’t some little garter snack. It turned out to be a 5-foot bullsnake.
“Now I’m going to have to move,” she joked.
Black said she is house sitting a dog who didn’t want to come back in her house in the Wellshire neighborhood when she let him out early Friday so she left the door open a crack. Later that morning Rocco started barking, she looked and let out a scream. On her Facebook she posted a picture of herself on her table.
She called her husband and said she had to leave to go to a Rotary meeting, but he told her to stay and make sure she saw which room the snake was going into. She called a friend who likes reptiles, and he freed the snake in Harvard Gulch.
Black is running for . Also running are Halisi Vinson and Carolina Klein.
