
1 Stolen boots, a threatened punch. A man in the 12400 block of West Alameda Parkway called Lakewood police March 3, reporting that his former employee threatened him and stole his boots. The man said he was due payment for a snow shoveling job, and the employer stole his snow boots and threatened to punch him.
2 “Puffer” car stolen. On April 3, the owner of a black 1999 Toyota 4Runner reported to Edgewater police that his vehicle was stolen from the 2800 block of Ingalls Street when he left the vehicle running to warm up.
3 Pill popper arrested on warrant. A 25-year-old woman was arrested March 26 near the West Metro Fire Station, 95 Garrison St., Lakewood, for an outstanding warrant after an officer suspected she was driving under the influence. She was found in possession of a bottle containing various prescription pills, some of which were antidepressants. She said they were prescribed when she had her wisdom teeth removed.
4 Truck stolen. Sometime between March 28 and March 29, a 1998 Ford F-150 was stolen from an apartment parking lot in the 2600 block of Kendall Street, Edgewater.
5 DUI at 7-Eleven. A motorist was cited for DUI on March 16 after hitting a sign in the parking lot of 7-Eleven, 1107 Sheridan Blvd., Lakewood. His vehicle was blocking the gas pumps and was later impounded.
6 Speeder arrested for DUI. On April 5, an Edgewater police officer observed a vehicle speeding in the 2400 block of Sheridan Boulevard. The driver, a 32-year-old Denver man, was arrested for speeding, DUI and not having insurance.
