Re: “More bike lanes? OK, but bicyclists need to obey traffic laws,” April 8 letter to the editor.

Hats off to letter-writer Jon Weimer. If cyclists and drivers are to co-exist on our streets, there should be equal courtesy and accountability on both sides. Taking this issue a step further, if public funds are to be used to improve bicycle access, then there should be some type of licensing and tax structure on bicycle owners to help pay for these improvements.
