When it comes to big-name and big-money streets, one ranks far above all others in metro Denver.
Cherry Hills Park Drive has the highest-value homes, according to by real estate tracking firm Zillow.
Homes carrying that street name have a median value of $9.4 million.
Current and past residents on Cherry Hills Park Drive are a who’s who of Colorado sports and business, including John Elway, , money manager Tom Marsico, car dealer Ed Bozarth, homebuilders David Mandarich of MDC Holdings and Dale Francescon of Century Communities, and
The oblong-shaped drive is on the east side of University Boulevard, across from . The road houses 16 sprawling estates with home sizes from 7,625 to 20,872 square feet. Parker’s 9,865-square-foot mansion is on the market, listed at $9.2 million.
No other Denver-area street comes close in real estate values, according to Zillow. Lynn Road, just to the south of Cherry Hills Park Drive, ranks No. 2, with a median home value of $5.5 million. Third and fourth are Polo Club Circle and Polo Club Drive, south of the Cherry Creek mall, with values of $3.7 million and $3.6 million, respectively.
Outside of metro Denver, the highest-value street is Strawberry Park Court in Beaver Creek, with a median value of $12.4 million.
The analysis stemmed from a book, “Zillow Talk: The New Rules of Real Estate,” written by Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff and chief economist Stan Humphries.
The authors found that the most valuable street names typically have a geographic reference to the homes’ location. Nationally, the priciest homes — at a median value of $21.5 million — are on Indian Creek Island Road near Miami Beach, Fla.
“We can tell, for instance, that a home on a street called ‘Lake’ is probably worth an average of 70 percent more than the U.S. median home value,” they wrote.
The most common street names in the U.S. are Main, Park, Washington, Maple and Oak, according to Zillow.
