Getting your player ready...
At KB Home’s Trailside near I-25, Highway 7 and E-470 in Thornton, you’re going to see a location that works for just about any commuter – close to I-25 for one that’s headed into downtown Denver, and with what amounts to a personal onramp onto E470 and Northwest Parkway, for ones seeking a traffic-free route into U.S. 36 (ten minutes) or DIA (19 minutes). KB Home is letting you choose from three Trailside lifestyles – one a neighborhood of larger estate-sites with standard 3-car garages, another with family-sized homes, and a third with single-family patio homes at some of the most attractive prices in metro Denver.
Better yet, in a market with too few resale homes available, KB Home has a choice of homes either ready or near-ready for quick move-in this spring and summer. KB Home reps already see that the three collections tend to lure buyers with strong preferences to a particular neighborhood’s features. In The Reserve, KB Home’s Steve Mondek and Kendra Jablonski will show you a ranch model and a family-sized two-story, on 6,000-to-7,000-square-foot lots that have well-manicured front yards, and an option for finishing the basement. Reserve residents love the 8-for-10-star-rated Silver Creek Elementary School, less than a mile from here – and a new charter school, also close by, will start admitting its first hundred qualified 9th graders this fall. Meanwhile, Trailside is already getting its own recreational attractions: a network of trails leading to a 33-acre Big Dry Creek open space, already two-thirds complete, and a 4-acre park taking shape, set to open this summer with sports courts and fields, tot lots, and a pavilion with grills and picnic tables. Those parks and trails are just as alluring to residents of creative Patio Collection plans, providing maintenance on three sides of each home – lawn and snow removal on walk and drive, for an additional $55 per month. You can tour a ‘Greenland’ patio-ranch, representing eight ranches that range from 1,384 to 1,969 square feet. All have 2-car attached garages along with patio/decks sized for entertaining; and if you need one soon, Martin Warner and Mike Alley will show you a Greenland that’ll be ready in two weeks, where the deck overlooks a greenbelt, priced at $463,000. Trailside’s Estates Collection, priced from the $390s, has 12 floorplans ranging to over 3,800 square feet that’ll work for big-family configurations – as many as six bedrooms with five baths, and a 3-car garage provided standard. Right now, Mike Alley and Micaela Gouger can show you some prime walkout sites still available from KB Home’s first phase of sites. Buyers for these tend to have owned arger homes and like a bigger yard with a 60-foot frontage. In all three collections KB Home has seen lots of interest from families from California and other ports of embarkation as well as Colorado, where this kind of size/value is increasingly hard to find. You can tour four homes for quick delivery in The Reserve and one in the Patio Collection – none available now in The Estates. KB Home’s reps all agree that even when inventory is low, KB Home buyers often prefer to have a home built from scratch. “People love our Built-to-Order options using our new design center,” says Randy Carpenter, Colorado Division Vice President for KB Home.
