On May 8, the Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital at St. Vincent in Indianapolis will have its eighth annual Celebration of Caring Gala and launch an $8 million capital campaign for the development and construction of the St. Vincent House, a “home-away-from-home” for families of patients.
The St. Vincent House will give families who live more than 30 miles from the hospital a place to stay.
With the support of the Manning family, sponsors and attendees to the Celebration of Caring Galas since the first event, in 2008, more than $7 million has been raised.
Peyton and Ashley Manning will serve as honorary chairpersons of the 2015 fund-raising gala, which will feature Grammy-nominated county music artist Dierks Bentley.
During the gala, Manning will present one patient’s family and the clinicians who cared for the child a True Hero Award. Archie and Olivia Manning will also be in attendance.
