Saturday-June 6: Evergreen Fine Art, a familiar showcase for some of the West’s most popular living artists, takes a step back in time this week with an exhibit of work from 20th-century icon Thomas Hart Benton. A key player in the Regionalist movement, Benton, who was born in 1889 and died in 1975, is highly regarded for his evocative depictions of everyday life. His canvases and murals cover the ages, though he is best-known for capturing rolling, rural scenes set in the country’s agricultural center. The show includes work from the artist’s personal collection, and Evergreen Fine Art is working with UMB Bank, which manages holdings for Benton’s estate. May 9-June 6, 3042 Evergreen Parkway, Evergreen. Free. 303-679-3610 or .
