
GOLDEN —A 30-year-old man who pleaded guilty to pimping out a 17-year-old girl at a Wheat Ridge motel last year skipped his sentencing hearing Wednesday and a warrant is now out for his arrest.
Bobby James Doss, 30, in Jefferson County court and was out on bond. Prosecutors said Doss also skipped two court-ordered pre-sentencing evaluations.
“We should be able to find him,” said Judge Randall C. Arp.
Doss was arrested in June during a nationwide human trafficking operation coordinated by local and federal authorities.
Officials say they found explicit photos of the girl on a website advertising sex for sale. Doss peddled her sexual services out of a motel room off Kilping Street near Interstate 70.
Doss’ arrest came during the annual, week-long enforcement initiative across the nation targeting child sex trafficking called ” .” The arrest was one of 11 during the initiative, which also recovered 19 child victims.
Doss faces up to 12 years in prison.
In 2009, on suspicion of pimping a child — who police said was a runaway from out-of-state .
Court records show he was charged with 21 counts in that case and pleaded guilty to pandering and sexual contact without consent. Prosecutors dismissed other charges.
