Summer of blooms

The Flower Bin Garden Center & Nursery is hosting its annual three-day Summer Festival June 19-21. Guests can save 20 percent storewide on annuals, perennials, herbs, roses, hanging baskets, shrubs and more. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 19-20 and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 21. Golden’s Foothills Animal Shelter has reduced the cost of adopting cats age 6 months and older to $10 in June. “Catch the Summer Fun with a New Friend!” is offered in connection with Adopt-a-Shelter-Cat Month. The fee includes a health check, spay or neuter, microchip and vaccinations. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
