Interview with Chul Woo Cho, owner

Q: How did you get involved in this business?

A: I am from Korea. I was always interested in baking, so I finished a patissier course in Korea. I love tasting and studying every kind of bread and cake.

Q: What distinguishes you from other businesses in your category?

A: My bakery presents various Asian pastries and cakes. The products in my store are not that sweet, and I use natural ingredients. I can say that my products are good for health.

Q: What do you like best about your line of work?

A: Decorating kids’ birthday cakes. It always makes me think of my 7-year-old son. I am happy to see kids are smiling when they get birthday cakes I made.

Q: What is your business’ biggest challenge?

A: First, I am preparing for the renovation of the store because this store has been open for 18 years. It will give better service to the customers. Second, I recently opened up a second store in Pacific Ocean Market in Aurora. It is the current challenge now.

Q: Something people might be surprised to learn about you or your business:

A: Many customers are surprised that we have many kinds of stuff. We usually sell around 80 kinds of pastries and cakes. We are sure to be baking every day.
