Spotlight on Kaká:

The former FIFA world player of the year is enjoying success in his first season in MLS, leading the expansion Orlando City Soccer Club with seven goals in 16 matches. He has added two assists, tied for the team lead. The 33-year-old Brazilian has one of the most decorated soccer résumés ever, having won the World Cup, Champions League, Serie A and La Liga. He signed as a designated player in 2014 and earns more than $7 million in guaranteed compensation annually.

NOTEBOOK

Colorado:

The Rapids (2-4-9) have only three wins in their last 33 league games dating to 2014 and enter the contest winless in their last four MLS matches. A late equalizer from Dillon Serna salvaged a home point vs. FC Dallas last weekend. Colorado is last place in the Western Conference and will take on Orlando City for the first time since the Lions joined MLS this season. The teams have faced twice in U.S. Open Cup play, splitting.

Orlando City:

The Lions (5-6-5) are unbeaten in their last four home matches at the Orlando Citrus Bowl, where they have averaged the second-highest attendance in MLS (35,587 per game). Orlando City lost 2-0 at Montreal last weekend, snapping a five-game unbeaten run. Former Rapids striker Danny Mwanga could see action for the Lions in this contest. He and former Rapids midfielder Tony Cascio were acquired in the expansion draft.

Footnotes:

Colorado is without Axel Sjoberg (knee) and Juan Ramirez (hamstring). The Lions are without Cascio (back), Kevin Molino (knee), Aurelien Collin (hamstring) and Martin Paterson (knee).
