About 3,000 bicyclists began a two-day, more than 150-mile trek Saturday along the Front Range to raise money to fight multiple sclerosis.

The Colorado-Wyoming Chapter, National MS Society’s 30th Bike MS Colorado began in Westminster, is following a route north to Fort Collins and will return and end where it began.

Last year’s ride raised more than $4.1 million, a record, the organization said.

There is no cure or known cause for MS, a disease in which the immune system attacks healthy nerves, damaging mobility.
