Aurora police apprehended a man early Saturday after a domestic violence incident resulted in a brief flurry of police activity.

A female with injuries, apparently from a domestic dispute, entered a local business near East Mississippi Avenue and Victor Way in Aurora shortly after 8 p.m. Friday, and police were notified. They located the suspect near Peoria Road and Parker Street, where he was hiding in the back of a truck. The driver and another passenger in the truck were apprehended on unrelated charges. Police exercised caution before attempting to arrest the suspect because of his record, Aurora police spokesman Lt. Marcus Dudley said.

A nearby road was shut down for about an hour until police apprehended the suspect without incident at around 2:30 a.m..
