Good news for fans of Jack White supergroups. Shortly after , White has announced that , his supergroup with the Kills’ Alison Mosshart, will return with a new album.
Five years after their sophomore album, “Sea of Cowards,” the Dead Weather will release “Dodge & Burn” this September, Third Man Records has announced. Dean Fertita (Queens of the Stone Age) and Jack Lawrence (The Raconteurs, The Greenhornes and City and Colour) will reprise their roles in the group for the new record.
Though they toured in 2010 in support of “Sea of Cowards” — including — the band will not tour in support of the new album.
“With the members of the band heavily involved in other projects, The Dead Weather will not be touring in support of the new album,” a news release said.
Last time we heard from the Dead Weather was a snipped of “Buzz Kill(er)” in October of last year.
