One of the prime witnesses for the defense, Dr. Raquel Gur, a University of Pennsylvania psychiatrist who interviewed James Holmes for 28 hours, describes her first interview with the gunman, when “at times he would look at the wall behind and his eyes would widen.” Once, he showed emotion and his body began to shake. After medication, Holmes behavior was different, said Gur.
