A longtime blood donator will become the youngest Bonfils blood donor to reach the 70-gallon mark on Tuesday.
Larry Cloos, 52, credits his father for getting him hooked on blood donation.
“Giving the gift of life is the greatest reward for doing it,” Cloos said. “There’s somebody right now that needs that donation. That person might die without you. It could be someone you know, someone you love.”
Only six other Bonfils blood donors have donated as many times as Cloos. He donates platelets as often as allowed, up to 24 times per year.
Bonfils operates six community donor centers and up to 10 blood drives daily around the state.
On Tuesday, Cloos will be donating at Bonfils’ Highlands Ranch Community Donor Center at 541 West. Highlands Ranch Parkway in Parkway Center, building No. 2.
To make a blood donation appointment, call the Bonfils Appointment Center at 303.363.2300 or 800.365.0006 or visit .
