BOULDER — The weather cooperated Saturday for Boulder’s first-ever Slide for the City, a traveling water party featuring a 1,000-foot-long slip-and-slide stretched along 13th Street on University Hill.

The event, which sold out except for $60 night passes, ran from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. More than 23,000 people said they’d attend the event on its Facebook page.

The event required participants to bring or buy an inflatable tube to go down the slide, but a tube was included with three-ride or VIP tickets.

Those going down the slide were required to be taller than 46 inches and be 5 years or older. The company does not allow pets, GoPros or selfie sticks on the slide. But water guns were allowed. Daily Camera
