Pueblo police are investigating after a dead 77-year-old woman was found Wednesday morning inside a home that was ablaze.
Firefighters were called out to the home on the 600 block of Moffat Street about 10:30 a.m.
“Fire personnel responded and found a small fire burning inside the home along with a deceased” woman, police said in a news release.
Police say they were called to the home because of “suspicious circumstances” found inside.
Authorities did not elaborate on the circumstances.
The woman’s identity has not been released.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
