Getting your player ready...

Through Aug. 14: From its lofty perch in Boulder, Frequent Flyers Productions’ aerial dance theater has helped revolutionize (and popularize) the once-exotic, now-established sphere of aerial dance. A big part of that has been bringing some of the world’s top talent to Colorado for classes, workshops and performances to appeal to both beginners and experts. If you’re leery of lifting off the ground, this year’s 17th annual International Aerial Dance Festival features its professional Showcase Performance from the fest’s faculty. 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut St. in Boulder. $20-$25. 303-245-8272 or .
