Movie theater industry veteran Kurt Hall will retire as CEO, president and chairman of National CineMedia Inc., pending the hiring of a replacement, the Centennial-based company said Thursday.
Hall, 55, cited the company’s strong health and his need for a lighter workload after recovering from a bout of poor health as reasons for his stepping down.
In 2005, Hall helped found the company, a joint venture of the digital advertising arms of theater chains AMC, Cinemark and Regal Entertainment Group. He took the .

The company’s board has hired executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles to find a successor.
Scott Schneider, the lead director, will replace Hall as chairman once a new CEO is brought on.
Hall will continue to advise the company and its board for two years after his departure.
