It was a good day for the Yeti.

After surviving 10 weeks and outlasting six other male competitors, former CSU-Pueblo and Horizon football star Josh Bredl was crowned the winner of WWE Tough Enough Tuesday, earning a one-year, $250,000 developmental deal with the pro-wrestling company.

Bredl, 24, received 70 percent of the fan votes, beating fellow finalist ZZ Loupe. Sara Lee defeated Amanda Saccomanno to win the women’s prize.

“I put in a lot of work in the past 10 weeks and I thought it really showed physically, emotionally. I grew as a human here,” Bredl said in an interview on “Tough Talk” on the WWE Network after winning. “I’m all in. I’ve got the itch, I’m infected now. I’m all in on this thing.”

:

At 6-foot-8 and 275 pounds, Bredl was the largest competitor on the show this season. He wasn’t the only one with a Colorado connection — Hank Avery, who spent a season with the Air Force Falcons football team, was eliminated in the first week.
