Re: “Teacher who was late 111 times says he was eating breakfast,” Aug. 29 news brief.
Arnold Anderson makes $90,000 a year as an elementary school teacher in New Jersey, yet he was tardy 111 times in two years because he has to eat breakfast? His school tries to fire him, but an arbitrator determines he’s “entitled to progressive discipline.” What is progressive discipline? Has the school system gone completely insane? If a kid is tardy 111 times, does he get “progressive discipline”?
Itap getting to the point that whenever I hear the words “entitled,” “entitlement” or “progressive,” I have to roll my eyes.
