Organizing a sports team is serious business and Boulder’s just raised $10 million to prove it.

The company said it led by and included investors with the Colorado Impact Fund, Denver’s and Boulder’s .

The company said it now has 9 million users in 196 countries with nearly half of the newcomers joining in the past year. The company shared with us that 800,000 teams around the world use the app, with 55,000 teams just in Colorado. Active users use the app 40 times a month.

In a statement, Charley Dean, Director of Northgate Capital, said his company looks for companies with “high revenue potential.”

“TeamSnap pioneered the category of online team management by creating the most powerful private communication and organization system in the world for players, parents and coaches, and we’re excited to be part of the journey for where they go next,” he said.

TeamSnap employs 60 people — including 15 at its Boulder headquarters — and plans to use the money to expand the product for clubs and leagues. The app is .
