
Saturday and Oct. 2. The Denver Philharmonic returns for the season with a program inspired by the great outdoors. Starting the show: Dvorák’s “In Nature’s Realm,” Tchaikovsky’s “The Tempest” and Vivaldi’s “Autumn” from “The Four Seasons” with violinist and conductor Lawrence Golan. The second half features Sibelius’ Symphony No. 5. As usual, the event will be preceded by a food truck picnic and followed by a free reception. There’s also a pre-concert chat by DPO associate conductor S. Mordecai Fuhrman. And to mark the special theme, Denver Phil board pres Jon Olafson will lead a hike this Saturday, Sept. 26.
