Chatted with Colorado Academy athletic director Bill Hall on Thursday and he shared a story.
He knows I was raised in the Philadelphia area and said he was coaching at New Hampshire in 1992. He was an assistant with men’s lacrosse. One of the football assistants? Chip Kelly, now the head coach of the Philly Eagles.
“Our paths took a different route, but, yeah, it’s all good,” Hall said.
Hall’s working with in-state student-athletes and trying to make a difference. Kelly is coaching in the NFL, is a millionaire, coaching millionaires and trying to win an Super Bowl.
“He’s making a little more money,” Hall said. “”But he’s living in Philly as opposed to living in Denver.”
