Denver Botanic Gardens: Glow at the Gardens

Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 6- 9 p.m.: The Gardens will be transformed by illuminated carved pumpkins. Each event has a different theme and live entertainment. All events will include pumpkin displays, ghost stories and face painting among other activities. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for adult members, $8 for children, $6 for child members. Denver Botanic Gardens: Ghosts in the Gardens

Oct. 24, 29, 30 and 31 from 6-8:30 p.m.: Guides lead one of three separate ghost tours. Tours take place after hours and guides share haunting stories of the Gardens’ history and security staff ghost encounters. Chicano Humanities & Arts Council: A Celebration of Life

Oct. 31: Coloween offers two party options: Denver Halloween Party will be at the Curtis Hotel, 1405 Curtis St., from 9 p.m.-2 a.m.. Tickets start at $79 and include an open bar. Oct. 24: Commerce City hosts its annual Halloween festival. Families are welcome to attend a pumpkin patch where children can take home a pumpkin and a goodie bag. Highland Haunts

Oct. 31: The eighth annual Halloween gathering is fun for the whole family. Attendees are encouraged to wear a costume. The day starts with a costume parade and contest at the Clay Street stage area.
