A paraglider is seriously injured after crashing into Lookout Mountain in Golden, officials said Thursday.
The man was over 300 feet below the roadway where fire crews repelled down to rescue him, said Golden Fire Chief John Dales.
The man was transported to St. Anthony’s Hospital with serious injuries, Dales said.
Lookout Mountain Road is closed on both sides.
Gliding accidents typically occur in the Golden area a couple times a year, Dales said.
